The main task of a Technical Product Designer is the design and construction of machines and systems/components/products according to customer requirements. You create 3D data models, sectional images/drawings, and select materials, manufacturing and assembly techniques taking into account costs and technical/design requirements.

What do you bring to the job?

Certificate of Maturity for Universities of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschulreife) or comparable degree
Spatial imagination and logical thinking, good mathematics and physics skills, computer skills, creativity and technical interest, precise and careful working, sense of responsibility for independent work and pleasure in teamwork

Theoretical training:

Carl-Schäfer School in Ludwigsburg, 1-2 times/week

Training period:

3 ½ years

Practical training:

A basic training course in metal and plastic processing is held in our own training workshop. This is followed by a technical training course in the design shop and other selected departments.
