Collection of Data

-When you visit our website
When you visit the Konzelmann GmbH website, non-personally identifiable information of general nature is collected automatically. The used web server stores by default:

  • the name of your Internet service provider
  • the website from which you visit us
  • the web pages you access during you visit
  • your IP address

This information is used solely for the purpose of improving the attractiveness, content, and functionality of our website. Where data is passed on to external service providers, we have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the data protection regulations are observed, in particular to avoid access by third parties (see also "Security" below).

-In the context of a contact inquiry
With the help of our website you can send us electronic inquiries via our contact form under the menu item Contact. A contact form is used to record the contact data (e.g. name, telephone number or e-mail address) required for communication and to record the content of your message. This data will be used to answer/fulfil your request. Here, the principle of data economy and data avoidance is observed, so that you only have to provide the data that we absolutely need to contact you. All other data are voluntary fields and can be entered optionally (for example, to give more individual answers to your questions).
If you contact us by e-mail, we will process the personal data provided in the e-mail solely for the purpose of processing your inquiry.

-In the context of our customer base
Contact data, your invoice/delivery address and payment data (account details or similar) are required to process the order. Credit assessments may be carried out in the course of orders. Details will be displayed during the ordering process. We will check your creditworthiness only if you give your consent.

-In the context of our supplier base
Data such as contact details of contact persons, address, postal address, bank account details are required to process the order.

-For applications we basically collect and process the following data:

  • Name, first name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Email
  • date of birth
  • Applicant status

Purposes of Collecting and Processing of Personal Data
Personal data is only collected when you provide it to us, for example by registering, filling out forms or sending emails, or in the course of ordering products or services, inquiries or requests for material. We therefore use your data for business initiation, for the fulfilment of contractual and legal obligations, for the execution of the contractual relationship, for offering and inquiring about products and services and for strengthening the customer and supplier relationship, which can also include analyses for marketing purposes, customer satisfaction surveys and supplier evaluations.
When processing your personal data, we comply with the provisions of the EU GDPR and other applicable data protection regulations. The legal basis for processing your data is in particular Article 6 EU GDPR. In order to fulfil our obligation to comply with the anti-terror regulations, your data will be compared with sanction and terror lists. Legal basis of this processing activity: EU regulations 2580/2001, 881/2002, 753/2011 in connection with § 17 ff. Foreign Trade Act (AWG).


Transfer to third parties
The database and its contents remain with our company and our provider. Your personal data will not be made available to third parties in any form by us or by persons instructed by us. The transfer of personal data to authorized state institutions and authorities will only take place within the framework of relevant laws, or if we are obliged to do so by a court decision.
It may happen that third party content are integrated from other websites within our content, such as maps from Google Maps. This always assumes that the providers of these contents (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") capture the IP address of the users. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required for the display of these contents. We make every effort to use only such contents, where the respective website operators merely use the IP address for delivering the contents. Nonetheless, we have no influence on whether these third-party providers store/save the IP address, e.g., for statistical purposes As far as this is known to us, we inform the users hereof.

Storage of Data
We store personal data for as long as is necessary to carry out a service that you have requested or to which you have given your consent, provided that no other legal obligations exist such as, for example, storage and tax retention periods. If there are no further legal obligations to retain data, the data will be routinely deleted once the purpose has been achieved. The statutory limitation period shall apply. We may retain data if you have given us your permission to do so or if legal disputes arise, in which case evidence can be used within a statutory limitation period of up to thirty years.

Security
Konzelmann GmbH uses technical and organizational security measures in order to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Where personal data is collected and processed, the information will be transferred in encrypted form in order to prevent misuse of the data by a third part. Our security measures are continuously reviewed and revised in line with the latest technological developments.
